Conventional impression silicones are insufficiently fluid and have a poor surface affinity, which means they often provide poor results in moist conditions. Consequently pores appear due to air bubble formation and marginal distortion. Affinis® is an A-silicone with good surface affinity and ideal viscosity. - It rapidly forms a unique affinity with moist surfaces, which means it flows like a hydrocolloid and easily works its way into critical areas without pressing on the tray. - Its special combination of additives produce a very low resistance to flow (self-contouring consistency), preventing the formation of air bubbles. Ideal thixotropic properties simultaneously prevent drips forming outside the preparation.
